A brief round up of the silly summer season and start to the campaign.

The usual merry go round of the summer saw a number of players leave The Bankies as well as a change of home.

After discussions with Drumchapel Ams, the Clydebank board saw it best to vacate Glenhead Park and move in with local rivals Yoker Athletic at Holm Park. Bankies fans were unimpressed but it appeard that the realtionship with the ams was becoming worse and Yoker were open to the idea.

Work immediately took place on upgrading parts of Holm Park, with some work still ongoing.

On the playing squad, fans favourite Andy Kenna moved on to Cambuslang Rangers. Gordon Lappin went to Largs while Rob Roy picked up Paul Craig and James Lennox. Colin Sutherland also moved out and appeared pre season for St. Anthonys.

In for Bankies came John Jack(Beith), brother of our midfield maestro Alan. Martin McIntyre and Mark Maxwell came in from local youth sides, and expeeienced Gary Lynn was also added to the squad having turned out for Forfar not so long ago and he was joined by former Partick Thislte star Gavin Rushford(St. Rochs). Finds from last season Andy Selkirk and Peter Jordan also signed up for the new season and the rest of the squad was retained.

The first friendly saw a 3-1 win recorded over Arthurlie at dunterlie before Bankies mauled the Vale of Leven 6-3 down at Millburn. a1-1 draw at McKnna Park ensued agaisnt St. Anthonys before Bankies picked up the Shettleston tournament by defeating Kilwinning 4-1 and Hurlford 2-0 at Greenfield in the two day event.

The Sectional League Cup started with a 3-1 win at Maryhill before Bankies beat Ashfield 1-0 at Holm Park. Days later our landlords turned us over 2-0 before a 1-0 win over newly returned Glasgow Perthshire saw Ashfield qualify by a better goal difference from ourselves.

The league kicked off with bookies title favourites Kilbirnie Ladeside coming to Holm Park. A superb performnance saw Andy Selkirk snatch the 3 points with the only goal of the game and Bankies momentum continued with a hard fought 2-1 win at Girvan thanks to Paul Allum and Selkirk again.

The first points were dropped when Renfrew fought out a 2-2 draw at Holm Park, Bankies twice leading through Mark Hailstones and then Peter Jordan.
