DEFENDER JOHN CUNNINGHAM has left The Bankies after three and half seasons service to rejoin his former side Maryhill

The big centre half didn't feature as much as he would have liked last season due to the superb form of Sinky Soutar.

Cunningham has taken a step down in a bid to revive the fortunes of The 'Hill who have dropped down the ranks recently.

Signed in January 2006 JC was just short of 100 appearances for Clydebank having started 83 games and appeared as a sub 14 times including coming on at Petershill and putting in a superb performance as Bankies knocked out the Premier League side on the way to the Scottish Cup Final.

The big fella chipped in with 5 goals including a header v Pollok and a fine curling finish against Yoker in Bankies promotion winning season. He also picked up only 2 yellow cards and 1 red in his Bankies career according to www.clydebankfc.co.uk

I'm sure all Clydebank supporters wish John the best of luck at his new club, except against us. Obviously!!!

'Hill have also been linked with Davie Fisher and Ryan Scobie and are rumoured to have signed ex-Bankie Brian Miller
