Bankies crashed out of the Evening Times Cup Winners Cup this evening as Arthurlie avenged defeat against the side who knocked them out the Central League Cup on the way to winning it
Bankies faced up to what seemed like their 90th game in 2 weeks but in reality it was the 15th in 33 days.
Budgie Mcghie shuffled his weary pack once more and included new signing Darren MacKinnon from Dumbarton amateur side St. Pats.
The first half was a quiet affair with Arthurlie having more of the ball but neither side looking like scoring.
That changed within 60 seconds of the restart, a mistake by Harvey allowing WINTER to strike home the opening goal for the away side.
Bankies made changes and had a real go at their top flight opponents putting them on the back foot and creating a number of chances so it was a shock when the 'Lie hit on the break to double their lead through WILLIAMS with seventeen minutes to play.
Bankies quickly got back into the match when sub STEVIE DALLAS netted his first goal since returning from injury, heading home a Harvey cross.
Clydebank pressed for an equaliser and had more chances although Liam Campbell twice pulled off good double saves to keep the home side in it bt in the end it wasn't to be and Arthurlie travel to play Cumnock in the next round while Budghie's men will travel to Whittlets for our final league match before the play off double with Lanark next midweek.
