Tonights Evening TImes has linked Bankies manager Budgie McGhie with the vacant hot seat at West Region giants Pollok
Rab Sneddon quit the 'Lok job at the weekend citing work commitments as the reason.
Sneddon was in his second stint as Newlandsfield manager but the south siders haven't had the best of seasons, going out of the Scottish Cup early and lying well behind in the league title race.
McGhie was instrumental in the demise of previous Pollok boss Jim Sinnet who quit after Bankies knocked them out of the Scottish Cup in last seasons two legged semi final affair.
Other names linked with the job include Sammy Johnstone and Frank Lynch as well as Ashfield gaffer Stevie Rankin, Petershill boss Stevie Easton and Rutherglen's Scott Smith.
Bankies fans face an anxious wait to see if the club can hold on to McGhie if the Glasgow giants do indeed come calling.
