Bankies made it two wins from two in an impressive start ot he pre season campaign

Saturday's trip to Cumnock saw Bankies notch up a 2-1 victory at Townhead Park.

Budgie McGhie's side dominated for long spells and deservedly went two nil ahead in the opening half hour through new signing Ross McPherson and a header from the fit again Stevie Dymock.

Only a defensive error allowed the home side back into the game and although the Ayrshiremen did have a few close things, it was their lower league visitors who looked more liekly to add to the scoreline but failed to do so with the woodwork being hit a few times.

Two days later Ardeer Thistle were visitors to Kelvinside and were sent home on the end of a 7-0 doing. The Clydebank goals came from Nikky Cairney, McPherson, Scott Highland who signed after the game, Mark Kilpatrick, Gavin MacQueen and a Mark Hailstones double.

Clydebank proved to be far too good for the Ayrshire Distric side and the scoreline could have been much greater on another night. It's no secret that results don't matter in these games but Budgie and his coaching stuff will surely be impressed with what they have seen so far this summer.
