The Bankies notched up another three points with this hard fought victory in Possil earlier this afternoon.

Having lost twice to Ashfield already this season, Bankies were in no modd to lose again and went out looking for a vital three points on a wet Glasgow day.

The first half was a fairly even affair, with Stevie Dallas having Bankies best chances of the first half when he hit the post on 22 minutes and when he shot just wide on the stroke of half time.

Maxwell had the home sides best chances in the opening ten minutes but firstly fired wide before making Stefan Gonet pull off a save then heading over from the corner that came from it.

Clydebank introduced MARK HAILSTONES for Selkirk around ten minutes into the first half and with almost his first touch he scorched a rare 25 yarder past Prior and into the top corner of the net to give The Bankies the lead with just short of an hour gone.

The home sides Thompson had come close to scoring just a minute previous to The Bankies goal.

Smith pulled another fine save from Gonet with the clock ticking before Fraser shot wide in stoppage time as bankies hung on for the three points.
